In this project the deck framing was salvageable. Note the added cross blocking. Also the deck framing was anchored to the house framing with lag bolts for added strength. |

Note the TREX railing system involves moving the posts inward into the deck framing instead of the original location (bolted to the exterior). Also the new post spacing is integrated to fit the standard 6 ft or 8 ft spacing of the TREX railing system.. |
